ORIGIN
Founded by DOMU & Tori Tori proprietor Sean “Sonny” Nguyen, Edoboy is inspired from his and his wife’s travels through the streets of Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. In Japan, standing sushi bars are a popular way to get high quality sushi, at reasonable prices, in an intimate, yet casual environment.
“Edo” is the ancient name for current day Tokyo. During the Edo Period, nigiri-zushi and this style of eating-while-standing was born.
WHAT IS EDOBOY?
Edoboy is an 8-person standing sushi bar led by Head Chef Tyler Inthavongsa with Second Chef Francis Varias at his side, both integral long-time members of the Domu Dynasty.
As Orlando’s first standing sushi bar, we can guarantee a truly unique dining experience.
TIME SLOTS
Due to the size of our restaurant, guests are required to be book time slots ahead of time. Time slots are released every Monday at 12:00pm via RESY for the current week. We do not accept walk-ins.
EXPERIENCE
When you arrive, please wait in line outside to check in with the host. Once your spot is available, the host will provide you with a menu/ordering sheet.
Each time slot is for a one hour period, which is why we limit orders to a maximum of 12 pieces of sushi and/or handrolls per person. We can accommodate most common allergies like gluten & shellfish.
After you complete your order, simply hand it to the chef to begin putting your meal together.
Beer, sake, tea, and other beverages can be ordered from the host. Filtered tap water, cups, chopsticks, and napkins are self-serve.
Once finished with your meal, the chef will hand back your ordering sheet to checkout. As a courtesy to your fellow diners, please check out promptly.
TIPS
We highly recommend our miso soup, made from the bones of the fish cut daily. The miso soup does not count towards your 12 piece max sushi order and is served at the END of the meal.
Traditionally, nigiri sushi is eaten with your hands. An oshibori (wet towel) is available to clean your fingers in-between pieces during your meal.
If you order more than 1 piece of the same nigiri sushi (excluding hand rolls), the chef will make all the pieces at the same time for you. Great if you are really hungry or in a rush. Otherwise, your order will be served piece-by-piece.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations made less than 48 hours [at 12pm] before your time slot will be charged a $50 fee per guest.
We do allow a 15 minute grace period. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the full menu to guests who are more than 15 minutes late. If you are more than 30 minutes late, you are considered a no-show and will be charged a $50 late cancellation fee.
If you or your guest can no longer attend, please find someone else use your spot.
